Water Fitness Classes

Water Fitness classes run Tuesday and Thursday evenings the months of June, July, and August. If the weather is nice we will continue until September 14th.  More classes to be added. Each class lasts 60 minutes. All equipment is provided. See schedule for details. Participants are encouraged to wear swimsuit attire and shoes; bring their water bottle; and wear sunscreen, hat, and sun glasses. All classes during the 2016 season will be located in the outdoor pool at Unity of Wimberley <unityofwimberley.com>, 455 White Wings Road, Wimberley TX 78676. Class fees are paid to Dancing Tree and prices are listed on the Dancing Tree website. Water fitness classes are valid for any water fitness class offered during the current season.

Pool memberships are purchased through Unity of Wimberley. Your pool membership also includes use of the tennis courts. See the church website for current pool membership prices. Pool membership is valid for 12 months. Please note: Even if you plan on only using the pool for water fitness classes, Unity of Wimberley does require that you purchase a pool membership. These fees are used to defray the costs of pool maintenance.

WATER FITNESS CLASSES—2017 SEASON

CONDITIONING/BODY SCULPTING/RESISTANCE TRAINING

We will use our bodies and equipment in this combined shallow and deep water exercise class to focus on muscular strength, endurance, range of motion, and balance. We invite you to come learn how to sculpt your body using the water. Appropriate for all abilities and fitness levels.

Some participants choose to remain in the shallow water. Using a unique style of choreography, Susan teaches both shallow and deep water movements simultaneously. We will work our large muscle groups, and learn how this type of regular exercise can improve our breathing efficiency, lung capacity, lower our blood pressure, and make our bodies more resistant to stress.
